Map the full 39 weeks of SMP: six weeks at 90 percent of earnings, then 33 weeks at the standard rate.

Eligibility

To qualify for SMP you need 26 weeks of continuous employment by the 15th week before your due date, and average weekly earnings of at least £129. If you do not qualify you may still get Maternity Allowance from the DWP at up to £194.32 a week. Employers reclaim 92 percent (or 109 percent with Small Employers Relief).
